What is a Pocket Park?

23rd February, 2022.

A pocket park is simply a small, or micro park, that are now often created on small pieces of land in built up areas. A park can be as small as a tennis court, and become a small space for nature, in densely populated areas, and provide a place for local residents to sit and enjoy some peace and tranquillity. Below is an example of a pocket park. If you have some unused land in your area (for example, a wide grass verge), why not contact the council and ask if they would consider creating a pocket park.
