St Patricks Day - The Giants Causeway
A happy St Patricks Day to all readers in all of Ireland from Giants Causeway in the North right through to the South. The Giants Causeway is one of the wonders of the Northern Ireland, which is rich in natural beauty from the Sperrins to the Mournes. It is a world heritage site full of myth and legend and a geologists dream.
Its famous hexagonal columns look as though they could have been carved by an ancient team of stonemasons but the only stonemason was mother nature herself.
The causeway is situated on the dramatic and unspoilt north Antrim coastline and can be reached by walking down to it close to steep cliffs. The area is owned by the National Trust and is very much worth a visit.
