St Andrews Day, Scotland - Slainte Mhath!

A happy St Andrews day to all our Scottish readers and the millions of people with Scottish ancestry elsewhere on the British Isles and overseas.
It seems as good a day as any to recommend just a selection of some great Scottish websites covering gardening, greener living and the nature.

National Trust for Scotland - A conservation charity that protects and promotes Scotland's natural and cultural heritage for present and future generations to enjoy.
Atholl Glens - Order organic meats reared on the Atholl estates in the Highlands. Delicious!
Visit Shetland - The tourist site for this collection of Islands located at the most northerly tip of the British Isles. Plenty of info about wildlife tourism and bird watching on the islands.
Gardens of Argyll - The west coast of Scotland can be surprisingly mild thanks to the gulf stream. This site features some stunning gardens that can be visited in the area and information to help plan a holiday.
Black Isle Brewery - Award winning organic brewery situated in Ross-shire. Its Organic Yellowhammer bottled ale won 'Best Beer' at the Soil Association Food Awards 2008. Nationwide delivery available.
The Highland Wildlife Park - is run by the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland and is home to traditional Scottish wildlife such as Wild Cats, Pine Martens, Capercaillie etc as well as other international endangered animals found in mountain and tundra habitats.
Christie's Alpine Nursery - Located below the spectacular Angus Glens, the nursery grows a wide variety of Alpine plants for rock garden enthusiasts, available via mail order, or visit by appointment.
