Juniper is an evergreen conifer plant that is ideal for small gardens and is also a popular addition to Alpine rock gardens or gravel gardens. There is many different varieties. Some are tall and upright, others are more bush shaped, and also some are low growing, and make good ground cover. They are perfect for the laziest of gardeners as they are slow growing, and maintenance free. Here are a few example varieties.

Juniperus squamata 'Blue Star'

Juniperus scopulorum 'Blue arrow'
