Jade Goody Tribute Plant to Raise Funds For Marie Curie Nurses

Jade Goody was today laid to rest, after a very brave battle against Cervical Cancer. The Sun newspaper have organised a tribute plant in her name to raise money for Marie Curie nurses, with £5 raised from each plant and 7,0000 available, it will make a sizable donation to help them with their work. Marie Curie Nurses provide free end of life care to patients with cancer and other terminal illness, allowing them to die with dignity in their own homes.

The plant available to order is a Paeony Jade (Paeonia suffruticosa Jade ) which has dinner plate size fragrant blooms and striking jade green leaves through the summer. The plant is a hard perennial which grows to 4ft 6in and can be pruned back in the autumn. It is suitable for a wide variety of soil types and can be planted in a sunny spot or in partial shade.
