Helmingham Hall, Suffolk
The Tollemache Family have lived in Suffolk since the Norman conquest and have lived at Helmingham ever since 1487. The Hall was completed in 1510, although the Garden moat predates the house and is probably of Saxon origin. Today, the gardens are opened to visitors to enjoy this exceptional experience of these invigorating gardens set in the 400 acre deer park.
Lady Tollemache, a Chelsea Gold Medallist has worked tirelessly to restore the gardens at Helmingham to glory over the last 20 years. Visitors are enchanted by the beautiful rose, knot, herb, wild and walled kitchen gardens.
