Kirklees has a range of greenhouse heaters for every size of greenhouse and type of growing requirements. Greenhouse heaters are available in two energy types. Gas greenhouse heaters and electric greenhouse heaters.

Electric Greenhouse Heaters

Electric greenhouse heaters are suitable for greenhouses with access to mains electricity. They are specifically made for greenhouses with safety in mind. Thermostats mean the greenhouse heaters will only come on when the temperature falls below a set minimum temperature, making them energy efficient. Fan heaters can help circulate the warmed air throughout the greenhouse reducing cold spots. In warmer months the fans can be turned on with no heat to circulate stale air and reduce fungal problems.

Electric greenhouse heater prices start at £44 and go up to £199, with various prices in between. Whether your greenhouse is large, medium or small there is a greenhouse heater that will do the job.

Gas Greenhouse Heaters

Gas greenhouse heaters are an excellent alternative to electric for greenhouses which have no power supply or if the greenhouse owner prefers gas power and has a cheaper arrangement with their power supplier for gas than electric.

Prices at start at £59 for the Little Gem 300, ideal for warming cold frames and mini greenhouses, or polythene curtained sections of larger greenhouses, up to £423 for the Classic Greenhouse Heater, ideal for large greenhouses or conservatories and for growers of specialist exotic plants like orchids, where the temperature has to be closley controlled.

A popular mid range choice is the Shilton Popular & Trusted 1.5kW at £196. (Red heaters above, also available at 3kW and 6kW).

Propagation Panels

Propagation panels are a great way to bring on seeds, cutting and bulbs. They provide a layer of heat underneath your seed trays and pots that encourages fast growth and healthy plants. Our propagation panels are available in a range of sizes. The propagation panels are made from 2 layers of robust aluminium foil with a PTFE coated electric heating element sandwiched in between. Aluminium foil is better than plastic since it spreads the heat uniformly and avoids hot spots.

All the propagation panels are manufactured here in the UK, and are earthed for complete safety.
