Plants4Presents was launched back in 2004 by Mother and Daughter team Isobel and Emily Rae with the aim of providing unusual and fun plant gifts that they would like to receive themselves. Since then the family team has grown from strength to strength and now sell an impressive range of over 300 seasonal gifts from their 2 acre nursery in Sussex.

  Plants4Presents still specialise in just that, plants that make great gifts. Whether it’s the fun value of a pineapple plant in fruit, a bowl of scented hyacinths to brighten up a bleak mid winter or a beautiful and long lasting camellia to celebrate a new birth, Plants4Presents plants are chosen to bring delight on arrival and for many weeks and even years to come.

  even into Northern Europe from their 2 acre nursery.

Coming from backgrounds in IT and marketing Isobel and Emily wanted to combine the benefits of the online world with good old fashioned customer service. The website is built in-house and is full of pictures taken of actual plants in the nursery that week. The emphasis is very much on what is looking good in season so flowering bougainvillea in the summer are replaced with autumn hellebores and winter jasmine which give way to jasmines and bulbs in the spring. The pictures on the website www.plants4presents.co.uk are updated regularly so you can see exactly in what stage of fruit or flower you can expect your plant to arrive and of course the plants team are on the end of the phone too in case of any questions.

The online range includes up to 80 plants at any one time with a huge range of citrus and exotic edible plants, herbs and chilli plants alongside more traditional flowering plants and roses in season. The quality test is crucial and every plant is carefully checked and prepared by hand before despatch. Plants are grown on site or sourced locally where possible and these cold grown herbs and British grown Poinsettias are much stronger plants than the mass produced ones from Holland.

Because they are designed as gifts each plant is carefully gift wrapped and boxed in specially designed boxes for delivery across the UK, ROI and even into northern Europe. Customers can choose their preferred pot cover and greeting card to complete the gift and of course specify exactly what day their plants should arrive.
