As a result of frequently asked questions from the public, premier bulb suppliers P. de Jager & Sons in East Sutton, Kent have produced a handy bulb planting guide. The 20 page guide, with wipe clean covers, contains valuable information on the best planting positions for different varieties of bulbs, how deep to plant them, their soil preference and, where appropriate, how to bring them on before planting out.

“De Jager have always included planting information when sending out bulbs and we frequently receive questions on what to do with certain bulbs,” says the company’s owner George Clowes, “So we thought it would be a good idea to bring all that knowledge and advice together in a bulb planting guide that gardeners can keep to hand. We are always striving to help our customer get the most out of their bulbs and we have had such a good initial response for the guide that we decided to print 200,000.”

The bulb planting guide is A6 in size – 6 5/8ths high (17cm) by 4 ¾ inches wide (12cm).
